Get Involved

Have Your Say

We want to involve the young people we work with, in the development of our service, we value your thoughts, ideas, and feedback about your experience of our service. We would like you to have a say in how we develop and deliver the service.

We know at times you can have a negative experience of services and not feel like you have been listened to, we want to know we are getting it right, or how we can improve. Please let your worker know if there is anything you would like to feedback or contact us in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Young Persons Interview Panels

We value the opinions of our young people when appointing a new member of our support staff.

It offers you the opportunity of gaining some new skills that will help you as you prepare for your own transitions from education to employment, but also gives you a chance to experience the process, develop new skills and show us the skills you already have.

As part of your involvement in interviews we will provide you with some training to equip you with the knowledge and understanding of the Matthew Project’s selection and recruitment process and support during the interview process. This training will help to increase your confidence and give you the ability to take a more active part in the interview process.

Steering Groups and Feedback

At times we can develop new resources or review different aspects of the service in order to improve.  We might ask you to complete an online survey, or your worker might talk to you about particular topics to ask your opinion, or we might meet as a group and share ideas and information, there are at times other opportunities to be involved, we would love you to be part of this and will let you know when these opportunities arise.

Positive Activities

Are you a child or young person affected by the drug or alcohol use of someone you care about? If you would like to join our youth club, or attend activities that we run over the holidays, please get in touch.

We offer positive activities for children and young people who are affected by the drug and/or alcohol use of someone they care about. Opportunity to build new friendships, learn new things and enjoy a broad range of activities.

Activities will take place on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and school holidays.  We can organise transport for children and young people who would be unable to access the sessions otherwise.
